The public health authorities have launched a screening campaign to detect viral hepatitis B and C in at-risk groups, IPN reports.

The screening will be performed by family doctors using rapid tests, and those testing positive will be referred to a gastroenterologist, hepatologist or infectionist for further diagnosis, treatment and monitoring.

On October 23 and 25, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the National Agency for Public Heath, will organize online training courses to instruct those involved in the effort on how the hepatitis B and C rapid tests work.
