After testing the vehicles and exchanging experience during a week, 45 firemen and rescuers will be able to intervene with modern equipment to liquidate the consequences of traffic accidents and extinguish fires. Eighteen Scottish firefighters helped their Moldovan colleagues to handle the equipment.

The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service has cooperated with the Scottish representatives since 2008. In the period, Scotland donated to Moldova 18 equipped firefighting vehicles and four ambulances. The vehicles were distributed to 12 districts of the country.
