The application addressed to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) by which Socialist MP Vasile Bolea asked to institute disciplinary proceedings against judges of the Constitutional Court was redirected to Parliament and the Government, which named the involved judges to posts, IPN reports.
SCM member Carolina Ciugureanu-Mihailuță said that disciplinary proceedings can be brought following a written application submitted by the authorities that can nominate Constitutional Court judges.
The Court consists of six judges: two named by Parliament, two named by the Government and two named by the SCM. The judges mentioned in the application were named by Parliament (Domnica Manole) and by the Government (Liuba Șova and Nicolae Roșca).
Socialist MP Vasile Bolea argued that the three judges didn’t respect the taken oath when they revealed the secret deliberations after Vladimir Țurcan was elected president of the Constitutional Court last year.
