The Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) has launched the procedure for choosing a judge for the Constitutional Court. The post fell vacant following the death of Eduard Ababei, IPN reports.
The deadline for submissions is March 26 inclusive.
The Constitutional Court has six judges who are named for a six-year term. Two judges are named by Parliament, two by the Government and the other two by the Superior Council of Magistracy. Eduard Ababei was appointed CC judge by the SCM in July 2019.
