A judge of the Supreme Court of Justice is investigated for unjust enrichment. The Superior Council of Magistracy accepted acting prosecutor general Dumitru Robu’s request to allow carrying out searches in this case, IPN reports.
The request was examined behind closed doors. As a result of deliberations, the Council’s acting president Dorel Musteață said the application was accepted with seven votes in favor and one vote against.
The name of the judge wasn’t made public, but it was noted that this is of the Supreme Court of Justice.
Contacted by IPN for details, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office Mariana Cherpec said that more detailed information will be provided later.
The press reported that this is the acting president of the Supreme Court of Justice Tamara Chișca-Doneva.
