Scientific researchers of Moldova receive awards from Romanian Academy

Three Moldovan researchers were awarded by the Romanian Academy for their contribution to developing Romanian culture and science by their activities and works, says a press release of the Academy.

Dorin Lozovanu of the Academy of Science of Moldova, received the award “Mihail Kogălniceanu“ for his work “Romanian Population in Balkan Peninsula”. Valentin Burlacu, of the Agency for Military Science and Memory of Chisinau, got the award “Nicolae Iorga“ for the work “Bessarabia’s Union with Romania and its International Recognition”, Researcher Maria Duca was awarded for the work “Researche into Sunflower in the  Republic of Moldova”, IPN reports.

The Romanian Academy offers awards to people of science from the country and abroad for their contribution to developing Romanian culture and science by their activities and works. Proposals for providing the annual awards are formulated by research institutions, universities or members.

In total, the Academy offered awards in philology and literature, historical science and archeology, mathematic science, physical science, chemical science, biological science, technical science, agricultural and forestry science, medical science, economic, juridical and sociological science, theology, psychology and pedagogy, arts, architecture, audiovisual, information science and technology.

The Moldovan researchers were awarded in historical science and archeology (Dorin Lozovanu și Valentin Burlacu) and in agricultural and forestry science (Maria Duca).
