Schoolchildren in the Transnistrian region have not yet returned to their classrooms, and pre-school children - to kindergartens. Although the left bank has had natural gas since Saturday, the premises have not yet been able to heat up. Under these conditions, the Tiraspol administration is announcing the gradual resumption of the activity of educational institutions, IPN reports.

"Over the weekend, classrooms were heated from 7 to 17 degrees Celsius. But it is not enough to ensure comfortable studying. The heating has not yet been turned on in some schools and kindergartens located in the private sector or in villages," the so-called executive said.

So educational institutions will resume their work as the premises are heated to the required temperature. Until then, the asynchronous distance learning format will be maintained.

In the meantime, all hospitals in the Transnistrian region, with the exception of the Tiraspol Clinical Hospital, are already heated by gas boilers. And patients will be admitted as soon as the temperature in the rooms rises to 18-20 degrees Celsius.

The European Union has allocated 20 million euros from a larger grant for gas purchases for consumers on the left bank of the Dniester. According to the Ministry of Energy, this money will also be used to keep an MGRES block in operation until February 10.
