The organization Plan International offered 500 schoolbags for refugee students who go to education institutions in the municipality of Chisinau. The donation was made following a request from the Chisinau City Hall to help the public authorities cope with the refugee crisis, IPN reports.
“The schoolbags contain essential school supplies and hygiene products. They were divided by categories – 200 for primary school students, 200 for secondary school students and 100 for lyceum students,” mayor Ion Ceban posted on his Facebook page.
So far, 397 Ukrainian students were admitted to secondary education institutions in Chisinau, while 47 Ukrainian refugee children were enrolled at municipal kindergartens.
Present in 71 countries, Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.
