The students of general education institutions of the Transnistrian region will study for one more week after the ordinary closing of the school year. The Transnistrian administration argued the vacation was earlier extended and the students need more time to assimilate the program, IPN reports.

About three weeks of study were omitted by extending the vacation. Parts of the program of study were merged, but time is yet needed to fully teach it. It was thus decided to extend the school year.

The Transnistrian operational group for containing the COVID-19 pandemic also decided that during the Easter holidays the people will be able to go to the graves of the dear ones and to take part in Easter services that will be held in the open air. Also, the administration of the Transnistrian region will not impose restrictions on spending the May bank holidays in recreational areas.
