The school year ended and festivities to mark the event were staged all over Moldova on May 31. According to the Ministry of Education, the festivities involved over 335,000 students, including graduates, IPN reports.
The summer vacation starts now for most of the students, while the graduates will take exams. More than 32,000 fourth graders, over 32,000 ninth graders and almost 19,000 twelfth graders will sit exams this year. The twelfth graders who will take Baccalaureate exams include students who failed the exams the previous sessions.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc, in her congratulatory message transmitted on the occasion of the end of the school year, said these festivities are a reason for pride for the accomplishments achieved during the school year with the contribution of teachers, through the successes of students and the care of parents in the education of the young generation.
