The students on May 31 celebrated the end of the school year by festivities staged at school. According to the Ministry of Education, over 30,000 students of the total of 340,000 finished the ninth grade, while another 12,000 graduated from the lyceum, IPN reports.
After the festivities, most of the students go on vacation. The ninth and twelfth graders are yet to take graduation exams. The twelfth graders sit the first exam on June 2, while the ninth graders on June 5.
In its congratulatory message on the occasion of the end of the school year, the Ministry of Education says the moment has come for students to rest so that they return to school with new forces and thirsty for knowledge.
