School and college teachers invited to take part in cooperation program

The teachers from pre-university education institutions can apply to a cooperation and experience exchange program involving teachers from 33 European countries. According to the head of the Education Ministry’s International Relations Department Ludmila Pavlov, this program will enable the teachers to implement European educational practices in the national education system.

“Within an online network, the teachers learn from each other how to teach the subjects, what teaching aids and additional aids to use during classes and other good European educational practices,” Ludmila Pavlov stated for IPN.

Those who want to take part must sent a message to the email address etwinningmd@yahoo.com, with a filled out application form that can be unloaded from the official website of Eductaion Ministry. Afterward, members of the National eTwining Support Agency will create an account on the applicant’s name on the portal http://plus.etwinning.net. The registered candidates will receive by email the username and password for accessing eTwinning Plus. There is no deadline for submissions.

According to Mihai Calalb, eTwinning program coordinator of the National eTwining Support Agency, the program is run by the European Commission and became available in Moldova several months ago. “The first teachers were already registered, but we are still in the process of formation. The program includes the implementation of teaching projects in partnership with the EU. Groups of students from different countries are studying together the same topics, using the same educational platforms available online,” said Mihai Calalb.

So far there were registered 114 teachers from about 65 pre-university education institutions. The applicants must know English and a have a classroom with computers connected to the Internet so as to be able to able tp put into practice the common teaching programs.
