The students of higher and technical vocational education institutions will receive higher scholarships. The Government approved a decision by which the scholarships are raised by 2.3%, IPN reports.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research Lilia Pogolșa said that when the decision takes effect, the students will be paid a bonus equal to the difference between the scholarship set in accordance with the current decision and the scholarship paid since January 1, 2021.
The students or arts schools and the talented students will get scholarships of 380 to 560 lei. The scholarships for students of higher and technical vocational education institutions will vary between 945 and 1,015 lei.
The first-, second- and third-year doctoral students will receive scholarships of 1,245, 1,375 and 1,420 lei, while resident doctors – of 1,245 to 1,420 lei.
The merit scholarships – Scholarship of the Republic, the President’s Scholarship, the Government’s Scholarship and the Gaudeamus Scholarships - will oscillate between 990 and 1,640 lei.
A sum of 5.7 million lei was earmarked in the state budget for this year for implementing the given Government decision.
