The state will provide 226 grants for third-cycle higher scientific doctoral studies and will increase the scholarships for doctoral students. This is provided in the plan of admission to higher doctoral studies which was approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.

The doctoral grants will be offered for the six areas of study stipulated in the Nomenclature of Scientific Specialties: Natural Sciences (18 grants); Engineering Science and Technology; (17); Medical Sciences (67); Agricultural Sciences (8); Social and Economic Sciences (78), and Human Sciences (38).

The doctoral grants will be distributed based on a competition of scientific projects between the Doctoral Schools of higher educational institutions. The grant includes an individual scholarship and the costs for the advanced study program and for the research or artistic creation program.

A number of 236 students were admitted to higher doctoral studies with state-budget funding in the 2022-acadmeic year.
