The scholarships for doctoral students will be doubled from almost 2,000 to 4,400 lei. A draft decision in this regard was approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday, IPN reports.
Also, the Government's excellence scholarship will be increased to 6,600 lei, and the scholarship in scientific fields will amount to 5,720 lei.
"We are doubling the scholarships of doctoral students, of our future researchers, of those we await in universities, in research institutions to do science, innovate and contribute to economic growth," said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun.
