The acting government has approved the proposal of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences about the awarding of excellence scholarships and nominal scholarships per field for doctoral students. Twenty recipients have been selected in the first category and 7 in the second. They will receive scholarships of 2500 and 2000 lei respectively.
The recipients have been selected through a contest. Preference was given to those with high doctoral exam scores, authors of papers published in national and international journals, authors of invention patents, of scientific and didactic books, and participants with papers and reports in national and international conferences.
Ordinary scholarships for doctoral students are 1000 lei per month.
