The Chisinau City Hall designed an online map that contains scenarios according to which the 147 education institutions of the capital city will function. This way, the students can see the scenario chosen by each institution apart from the first source. The list of education institutions is available on the platform. When accessing it, the user is redirected to the profile of the school where there is relevant information about the chosen activity model or models, number of students, teachers and classes at the institution.

Contacted by IPN for a comment, deputy mayor of Chisinau Angela Kutasevich said Model 7 was chosen by most of the education institutions of the capital city, 80. This implies mixed learning, which is a combination of two or three of the models recommended by the Ministry of Education. “In Chisinau, we have a very large number of children, but have reduced areas and this fact made us combine a number of the recommended models,” she explained.

According to her, the interactive map was supplemented with models presented by institution directors. In a period, these models will be adjusted and the map will be supplemented with information about schools and data about the epidemiological situation at each institution.

The online platform can be accessed on the Chisinau City Hall’s website, chisinau.md, and of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport.

The Extraordinary Public Health Commission of the municipality of Chisinau decided that the general education institutions will resume work on September 1, 2020. The activity of early education institutions is restored in stages. When the epidemiological situation in the community improves, the children aged 2-4 will also be admitted.

The wearing of facial protection masks at education institutions is mandatory for the institution’s personnel. The students are encouraged to wear protraction masks in classrooms when physical distance cannot be respected or on the instruction of doctors. Mask wearing is mandatory for students of fifth-twelfth grades in common use areas of education institutions.

The Extraordinary Public Health Commission of the municipality of Chisinau held that the access of parents, third persons or representatives of parents and of foreigners to the territory and inside education institutions is banned during the state of public health emergency.
