Santa Claus is waiting for children’s letters this year too. These can be sent free through Moldova’s Post Office to the Santa Claus Academy. The letters do not need to be put in an envelope and have a stamp. They should only have the address of the sender indicated, IPN reports.

Irina Mitakina-Babuhina, Santa Claus’ assistant in the “Santa Claus Mail“ project that was launched on December 5, said the number of letters rises annually. The children are asked to write to Santa by December 20 so that everyone could receive an answer by New Year’s Eve.

Santa Claus responds to everyone. The letters can be sent from any post office with the mention “For Santa Claus!”.

In the project launch event, a group of children of the ethnic-folkloric ensemble “Opincuta” of the Chisinau Theoretical Lyceum “Ion Creanga” sang carols and then wrote letters to Santa. They asked for mind games, books, toys and for good health for their relatives from him.

According to the Santa Claus Academy, since the project was launched by the Foundation “Clipa Siderala” in 2001, thousands of children have written to Santa and received an answer.
