Children from Chisinau and other settlements of the country took part in the launch of the New Year Mail on December 17. The event was held at the Place of the Republic under the auspices of Santa Claus’ Academy, Info-Prim Neo reports. “This year, Santa Claus’ Academy has celebrated 10 years. On this occasion, we launched our official website - www.moscraciun.md. Everyone can access the website and make a child’s dream come true, becoming Santa Claus for a moment. Today, we launched the first event this year. The children can write to Santa Claus and receive an answer free of charge,” said the head of Santa Claus’ Academy Veronica Solomitski. A fir tree decorated with letters, where children from socially deprived families wrote their wishes, was put in the hall of the Palace of the Republic. The event involved politicians, artists, and businessmen who could fulfill some of the children’s wishes. A lawmaker promised to buy two toy cars for two boys. The children who haven’t yet written letters to Santa Claus can do it. They do not have to stick postage stamps, only write “For Santa Claus” on them. Within the event, the band “Trigon” gave a recital and there was staged an exhibition of handcrafts made by students of Chisinau schools. The next event of Santa Claus’ Academy will take place on December 25. All the children and grownups will be able to see and talk to Santa Claus in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau. Santa Claus’ Academy is a project of the charity foundation “Clipa Siderala”.
