According to the organisers of the event, the exhibition will include 4 collage masterpieces, whose co-author is Robert Descharnes (born 1926) – Dali’s co-worker and author of the most erudite interpretations of Dali’s life and activity, as well as a precious expert of Dali’s artistic universe; lithographic illustrations for “Don Quixote” by Miguel Cervantes-Saavedra (1951), “The Divine Comedy” by Dante Alighieri and “The Decameron” by Boccaccio (1972).
The exhibition comes to Chisinau from Alba Iulia, Romania, and will afterward be presented in Spain, Dali’s motherland.
This unique event is organised by the Union of Fine Artists of Moldova in partnership with Euro-Art-Luxemburg Sarl (Luxemburg) and the Chisinau City Hall. The masterpieces exhibited in Chisinau are part of Euro-Art-Luxemburg Sarl collection.
The Spanish painter and writer Salvador Dali (1904-1989) powerfully influenced the development of fine arts during the XX century. “Enigma”, “The Giraffe in Flames”, “The Invisible Woman”, “St. Anton’s Temptation”, and “The Dream of Christopher Columbus” are among his most remarkable works.
