Sales of homemade wine, earnings from gambling and rent to be taxed

The earnings from gambling games, income from letting out on hire and selling homemade wine will be taxed. The Parliament approved in first reading a draft law in this respect on July 6. It includes several amendments which result from the fiscal-budgetary policy of the Government for 2007. Under these amendments, each gambler shall pay a tax of 10% of income to the Budget. Those who transmit real estate properties to possession and/or use (rent, usufruct) will pay monthly 5% of the value of the contract. The aforementioned persons are obliged to register within 3 days the concluded contracts with the district tax bodies. The tax is paid monthly no later than every 2nd day of the month. This month, the tax shall be paid next day after the contract was concluded. The sum of the tax paid before term will not be paid back from the budget. A tax of 5% of the obtained incomes will be collected for the retail of homemade wine for the production of alcohol.
