The pays of teaching staff will be increased by 3%, IPN reports, quoting a bill approved by the Government.
Thus, teachers’ salaries will be adjusted to the average salary forecast by the executive for this year (4,500 lei a month). According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the average monthly salary of school teachers in the fourth quarter of 2014 was 4,366.lei. The 3% rise in salaries will allow adjusting them to the average pay anticipated in the economy.
Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Mircea Buga said a sum of 30 million lei is needed for paying the increased salaries in 2015. The money will be identified when the 2015 state budget is amended.
