SA Termocom starts preparations for cold season

SA Termocom is in the process of preparing the heating system for the 2011-2012 cold period. The company’s director Mihail Cernei said Monday that the pipes are now 18% to 37% ready for the new heating season, while the population’s payments for heat represent 70%, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mihail Cernei said that 34% of the piping system was cleared, while 14% washed hydro-pneumatically. Acting mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu requested the municipal subdivisions and SA Termocom to make sure that the works are performed according to plan so as to start the hating season on time. SA Termocom started the preparations after its accounts were unblocked. Mihail Cernei said earlier that the frozen accounts prevented the heat supplier from executing the projected works. The accounts were unblocked on May 10 after SA Termocom presented a letter of guarantee, whereby it pledged to settle the debts to its suppliers by November. On May 6, there was signed a memorandum between SA Termocom, the thermometric plants CETs, SA Moldovagaz, the Chisinau City Hall, and the Ministry of Economy.
