SA Termocom becomes laureate of first “Eco-energy Moldova” event

The Chisinau heat supplier SA Termocom is the laureate of the first event aimed at promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency themed “Eco-energy Moldova”, which is organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Energy Efficiency Agency, Info-Prim Neo reports. The company received a diploma for the implementation of modern technology in the heating system of Chisinau municipality, rationalization of heat consumption in apartment buildings and diminution of environment pollution. According to a communiqué from the heat supplier, the ‘success story’ of SA Termocom was exemplified with the apartment building situated at 38/2 Maria Dragan St, which was connected to the centralized heating system in 2009. The specific features of this block are the thermal insulation of the construction, the horizontal heat distribution system and the existence of an individual thermal point. Owing to these technical particularities, the dwellers of the building reduced the costs for heating by 40-50% and signed direct contracts with SA Termocom. Every apartment has heat meters and thermostatic valves that allow regulating heat consumption. Currently, there are four such apartment buildings in the municipality of Chisinau. Another two are being constructed. “Eco-energy Moldova” forms part of a wide social campaign to promote the alternative sources of energy and energy efficiency that is carried out by the Government of Moldova in partnership with the EU and UNDP Moldova.
