The Moldovans infected with the novel coronavirus are treated according to the protocols worked out by the World Health Organization. According to ex-minister of health Ruxanda Glavan, this is an advantage compared with many other countries that could not benefit from these protocols at the right time, IPN reports.
“We must admit that the figures could rise, as the statistics and experience of other states show. We must be grateful to those who suffered before us. Today the World Health Organization provides protocols according to which treatment is administered. The Republic of Moldova can avoid losses of human lives as it is already known how those infected can be cured,” Ruxanda Glavan stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.
The Democratic MP noted that the population should not get into a panic and should take the measures required by the Government of Moldova and the World Health Organization.
“We had a red alert until yesterday. With the local transmission of the infection, particular freedoms should be limited in the people’s interests. I’m confident that the Government will act in the people’s interests. If it is necessary, we will return, analyze and adopt regulations,” stated Ruxanda Glavan.
As to the state of emergency declared for 60 days, the Democratic MP said this is the maximum possible period and if things return to normal earlier, the Government can request Parliament to annul the state of emergency.
