Russian Senate chairman Sergei Mironov to visit Chisinau

Sergei Mironov, the president of the Federation Council of the Russian Parliament will lead a team of Russian senators and officials from the central administration to Chisinau from 18 to 20 of May, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Moldovan presidency. The visit fo the Muscovite official is designed to expand the Moldovan-Russian dialog and to step up political, economic and commercial contacts between the two countries. The delegation will arrive at Chisinau later on May 18 and will meet with Russian citizens at 18.45 at the Russian embassy in Chisinau. On May 19, Sergei Mironov will meet with Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin, with speaker Marian Lupu and premier Zinaida Greceanai. The Russian top official will make statements for the press in the Parliament, at 13.10. During the days of the Slavonic writing, Sergei Mironov will visit the Slavonic university in Chisinay and Pushkin's museum house. On the last day of his stay, May 20, the Russian official will meet with Moldovan businesspeople at 11.00. Later on, the Russian delegation will go to Gagauz-Yeri. Sergei Mironov's visit to Moldova, and the visit of the Duma speaker Boris Gryzlov were agreed on during a visit of speaker Marian Lupu to St. Petersburg. Boris Gryzlov is expected to Chisinau in October.
