Representatives of Russia’s food safety watchdog Rospotrebnadzor informed the head of the Transnistrian executive Alexandr Martynov that a team of Russian experts will inspect companies operating in the food industry of Transnistria with the aim of allowing these to export their products to the Russian Federation, IPN reports, quoting the Transnistrian press.
Representatives of the Transnistrian administration on February 13 had a meeting with experts of Rospotrebnadzor. The Russian experts said one of the key objectives of the visit to Tiraspol is to inspect local food companies to see if they can export to Russia.
The meeting was held in the context of the agreements reached during a Transnistrian delegation’s visit to Moscow this January.
