The Moldovan vehicles stopped at the border of the Russian Federation received permission to leave the country. The National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) said that the Federal Customs Service allowed the exit based on unitary authorizations of the 2024 quota, IPN reports.

The Moldovan transport operators were notified at the beginning of this month. They were not allowed to leave the Russian Federation on the grounds that the Russian authorities did not extend the validity period of the permits issued last year. For their part, the Moldovan authorities specified that the authorizations are valid until January 31, 2025.

The Moldovan authorities made a number of requests to the Russian state institutions, in which they referred to the period of validity, until January 31, 2025, of the authorizations granted to Moldovan transport operators for 2024 and the unblocking of stopped vehicles.

"As for the quota of authorizations for carrying out international road transport of goods on the territory of the Russian Federation this year, the ANTA will provide details as soon as it receives the decision by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation," reads a press release of the National Motor Transport Agency.
