Russia, Moldova agree actions for resuming Moldovan wine exports

Russia and Moldova agreed a number of actions that will enable to resume the exports of Moldovan wine products to Russia, Russia’s consumer rights watchdog “Rospotrebnadzor” has said on its website, following a meeting of Moldovan Minister of Agriculture Vasile Bumacov and Russia’s chief sanitary inspector Gennady Onishchenko, IPN reports.

The sided agreed that a national system for monitoring the quality of the exported alcoholic products will be instituted in Chisinau. Afterward, they will discuss terms for resuming the exports to Russia.

On September 20, Minister Vasile Bumacov had a meeting with Gennady Onishchenko in Moscow. The meeting was held after Russia imposed a ban on the imports of Moldova wine on September 10.
