The Federal Service for Veterinary and Sanitary Control accuses the Moldovan and Ukrainian poultry exporters on Russia’s market of continuing to violate the regulation on poultry export. The Ministry of Agriculture of Moscow announced about this. According to, proofs in this sense were found at the railway point Breansk-Orlov, where the poultry wagons of Moldova and Ukraine were returned. The specialists of Rosselkhoznadzor said that the goods did not have origin certificates and the sanitary norms were ignored. The meat was transported in usual bags, without veterinary expertise certificate, and the keeping temperature of it was not according to current norms. Now, there are 3 Russian specialist in Ukraine inspecting the enterprises of this country and analyse the legislation in this field. Previously similar groups have visited Moldova, but did not foun mistakes in this sense. Moscow introduced a range of restrictions to meat import of Moldova, in April 2005. In the same year, on 16 May, Russia forbidden phyto-technical goods import of Moldova. Moscow motivated its decision by the fact that Moldova “ignores Russian and international requirements” regarding delivery of phyto-technical goods, which “would create a danger to introduce in Russia certain insects and disease”. The volume of exports from Moldova to Russia in 2005 was 347.3 million dollars, decreasing with 2% comparing to 2004. The value of living animals and Moldovan animal goods was 17.2 million dollars, with 15% less than in 2004.
