The Russian Federation accepted all the 140 companies proposed by Moldova as exporters of fruit and vegetables to this country. A decision to this effect was taken as a result of Monday’s meeting of Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc and Russian Minister of Agriculture Yelena Skrynnik in Moscow. The meeting was also attended by Alexei Dankvert, the head of Russia’s agriculture watchdog Rosselihoznadzor, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting sources in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova.
The officials discussed aspects of the bilateral relations in the agrifood sector and possibilities of increasing the exports of Moldovan products to Russia. In the near future, the Agriculture Ministries of the two countries will sign a memorandum that will define the cooperation conditions and criteria so as to prevent misunderstandings.
A group of specialists of Rosselihoznadzor will come to Moldova this week to inspect the Moldovan companies that will be exporting fruit and vegetables to Russia.
