The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the New Historical Option Party Ruslan Popa today voted for the traffic congestion problem in the capitol city to be solved in 24 hours, IPN reports.
Twenty-seven persons are contending in the mayoral election in the municipality of Chisinau after the Commission for Exceptional Situations annulled the registration of the 28th candidate who represented the Chance Party.
Moldovan voters are to elect 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors on Sunday. For the elections in the constituency to be validated, the voter turnout should be at least 1/4 of the voting-eligible persons.
Polls close at 9 p.m.
