Rural medical center in Transnistria renovated from European funds

The Regina Pacis Foundation will donate medical equipment and furniture to the medical center of the Transnistrian village Ciobruci in Slobozia district. The action forms part of the Never Alone Project and is carried out in concert with the Support to the Confidence Building Measures Project, which is financed by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Project, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Four doctors and 12 nurses work at the medical center that provides services for 5,475 adults and 319 adolescents. The number of beneficiaries is large and the doctors do not always manage to provide assistance at the expected time and of a high quality,” said Ilie Zabica, coordinator of the Never Alone Project. In order to improve access to quality medical care, the Regina Pacis Foundation and the partners of the Never Alone Project reconstructed all the rooms of the medical center in Ciobruci. The Foundation also intends to outfit the center with medical equipment and furniture. The Never Alone Project implemented by Regina Pacis Foudnation is aimed at improving the health and quality of live of children, pensioners, solitary old people, invalids and persons with disabilities.
