Zimbru beat Academia 5-1 in the first match of the eighth stage of the National Division. Three goals of the ‘yellow-greens’ were scored by Portuguese player Rui Miguel, who became the top scorer of the championship with six goals, IPN reports.
The other goals for Zimbru were scored by Amani and Prodan (self-goal), while Pashchenko scored for Academia. “The result is fair. We have footballers of a high quality who can make the difference,” Zimbru coach Stefan Stoica told a news conference.
Zimbru climbed to the first position, but can be outstripped by Dacia and Sheriff, which today meet Speranta and, respectively, Zaria. In another two matches of the eighth stage, Dinamo-Auto plays Milsami, while Saxan - Petrocub-Hancesti.
