The Prime Minister of Romania Mihai Tudose is to pay a visit to Chisinau to meet with his Moldovan counterpart Pavel Filip on July 22, the paper Ziarul Financiar informs on its website. After meeting with European leaders in Brussels, the Romanian Premier said Romania has the huge task of ensuring the pro-European road of Moldova, IPN reports, quoting the paper.
While in Chisinau, Mihai Tudose will meet with Pavel Filip, but does not have a scheduled meeting with President Igor Dodon, political sources stated for Mediafax.
“The neighborhood policy, the support from the European Commission and the Council for Moldova are very important. We should not forget that we are an important country for the EU, but are on the outskirts of the European Union and have the huge task of ensuring the pro-European road of Moldova,” Mihai Tudose said after the meetings with the leaders of the European Commission and the Council of the EU last week.
Pavel Filip this March paid a working visit to Romania at the invitation of the then Premier Sorin Grindeanu.
