The Prime Minster of Romania Nicolae Ciucă has arrived in Chisinau. His visit to the Republic of Moldova started with a meeting with President Maia Sandu. The press wasn’t invited and the meeting was held behind closed doors, IPN reports.
Nicolae Ciucă also planned meetings with Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. The conference of the two Premiers was set to start at 11:50pm.
The Romanian official will also pay a visit to the Orthodox Church “Saint Apostles Peter and Paul” and will take part in an event that will be held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of AmCham Romania.
One day earlier, Nicolae Ciucă said that on his visit to Chisinau, he will be accompanied by a team of government officials. “It is a visit by which we confirm the strengthening of the bilateral relations and it is surely a visit that reaffirms the support that Romania will continue offering to the Republic of Moldova on the path of European integration,” stated the Romanian Premier.
