A 46-year-old man who is a citizen of Romania died in a road accident in Chisinau in the morning of May 30. It happened at the intersection of the streets Stefan cel Mare and Constantin Negruzzi, at about 4am, IPN reports.
Head of the press service of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said the man was jaywalking. The driver who hit him didn’t stop to help.
A criminal case was started. The driver, if he is identified, faces three to seven years in jail and will be banned from driving units of transport.
