The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Bogdan Aurescu recommends the Romanian citizens with the domicile or residence abroad to choose postal voting at the parliamentary elections of December 6, 2020 as a simple and efficient method that protects health, IPN reports, quoting a press release of Romania’s Embassy in Moldova.
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the citizens can register for postal voting for the parliamentary elections of December 6, 2020 on www.votstrainatate.ro during the remaining six days only.
According to Bogdan Aurescu, postal voting is the safest way for protecting health during the current pandemic. When registering for postal voting, the persons can indicate where they have the domicile or residence abroad using such ordinary documents as the driver’s license in Spain, public utility bills in France, transport season ticket in the Netherlands. Also, the Central Election Bureau recently decided that the voters with identification papers whose period of validity expired during March 1 – December 6, 2020 can vote in the elections for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies of December 2020 based on these.
