The Moldovan-Italian association “Plai” is holding the Romanian Culture Week in Torino, Italy. It included the fourth arts exhibition “With Jesus in the Hearts”. The activities started on May 11. The association’s head Natalia Petica has told IPN that this is an event of great cultural importance that will involve painters from Moldova, Romania and Italy. “It is a fusion of cultures and ages,” said Petica, adding that the exhibit is held in the context of the Easter holidays.
There were exhibited over 100 paintings on religious themes. Moldova is represented by masters Iurie Brasoveanu, Gheorghe Mihailov, and Minodora Eni. Natalia Petica said their works are full of content, colors and harmony.
Minodora Eni exhibits icons made in churched according to new technology. These works have a great artistic value that helps us to keep the traditions and love for the country, the nation and for everything that is nice and holy.
Romania is represented by painters Paula Ciobanu Mariut, Felicia Burbulea, and Liviu Margineanu. They staged their own exhibits and are known and appreciated in Torino and in Romania. Paula Ciobanu Mariut is the founder of a painting school in Torino. Her works were approved of by the most severe art critics and experts of the Torino Academy of Arts “Santa Rita”, of which the Romanian painter is a member.
Anna Borgarelli and Francesco Mortellaro are two Italian artists. Anna Borgarelli is a teacher and art critic and the founder of a painting school in Alexandria. She displayed her works in France, the Netherlands, Sweden, the U.S., and the United Arab Emirates.
“This exhibit is an additional occasion for being united and for feeling our hearts beating in unison, for speaking the same language, singing the same songs and dancing the dances that we kept with holiness and now transmit these values to our children,” said Natalia Petica.
The arts exhibition “With Jesus in the Hearts” closes on May 18.
