A 35-year-old Romanian citizen, wanted through Interpol, has been handed over by Tiraspol and taken into custody by the General Police Inspectorate. The information was confirmed to IPN by IGP press officer Diana Fetco. According to reports, the man was convicted in Romania for smuggling.
Since 2022, the man had evaded law enforcement, hiding on the left bank of the Dniester River using a false identity document.
He is to be transferred to the Romanian authorities, in accordance with the search warrant, to serve his sentence.
