The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania reacted to the protests stated in Chisinau. In a press release, the Ministry says they follow attentively the developments in the capital of Moldova and call for calm and responsibility, IPN reports.
“We urge calmness and call on all the political players in the Republic of Moldova to act with responsibility so as to ensure the democratic process of investing the Government of Pavel Filip, which was given a vote of confidence by the legitimate Parliament in Chisinau,” it is said in the press release.
The Ministry says that only this way the democratic path, stability and pro-European objective of the Republic of Moldova can be pursued and achieved, for the benefit of all the country’s people.
A large crowd of people came together before the Parliament Building to protest against the voting in of the new Cabinet headed by Democrat Pavel Filip. The people surrounded the Parliament Building and broke a lateral door, forcing their way, but the police drove them off.
