Romania, Moldova sign eight cooperation treaties

The Governments of Romania and Moldova signed eight cooperation treaties in Iasi on March 3. The two Premiers, Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu and Vlad Filat, signed the action plan for implementing the Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between Romania and Moldova for Moldova’s European Integration. The statement was signed by Romanian President Traian Basescu and the then Acting President of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu in Bucharest on April 27, 2010, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldovan Minister of the Interior Alexei Roibu and Minister of Administration and the Interior of Romania Gabriel Beca signed an agreement on cooperation and reciprocal assistance in cases of disasters. Another agreement, on cooperation between the Ministry of Regional Development and the Ministry of Tourism, was signed by Romanian Minister Cristian Petrescu and Moldovan Deputy Minister Anatolie Zolotkov. Romania’s Minister of National Defense Gabriel Oprea and Minister of Defense of Moldova Vitalie Marinuta signed an agreement on the legal status of the graves of Romanian soldiers situated in Moldova. There were also signed a protocol of cooperation and an administrative arrangement for implementing the agreement on social security. The signatories were Ministers of Labor Claudia Boghicevici and Valentina Buliga. Cooperation relations were also established in the areas of youth and sport. There was signed a joint statement between the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism and the Ministry of the Environment and Forests of Romania, on the one hand, and the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Ministry of the Environment of Moldova, on the other hand.
