Romania is determined to continue political and practical support for Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, both as regards EU accession processes and the particularly difficult context caused by Russia’s war of aggression, stated Romania’s foreign minister Luminița Odobescu in a phone call with her Lithuanian counterpart, Gabrielius Landsbergis.
The discussion between the two officials took place in the context of the 100th anniversary of Romania recognizing the Republic of Lithuania, when the two countries established bilateral diplomatic relations.
The Romanian official welcomed the excellent state of bilateral relations, to which the constant political dialogue and effective coordination within the EU, NATO, regional and multilateral formats contribute, starting from the interests and values shared by Romania and the Republic of Lithuania. She also addressed issues related to bilateral cooperation in the field of security and defense, in economy, and overall on a sectoral basis.
