Road weather stations are being placed on national public roads. According to the State Road Administration, the instruments will process collected and stored meteorological data and will enable specialists to maintain roads at minimized costs, IPN reports.
The works to set up road weather stations are executed by a national company. The value of the contract is 9.3 million. The money was allocated from the road fund.
The devices that are designed to optimize road maintenance, ease traffic and improve road safety, including in winter, will be placed on the roads Chisinau – Ungheni – border with Romania, Chisinau – Comrat – Giurgiuleşti – border with Romania, border with Ukraine – Criva – Balti – Chisinau – Tiraspol – border with Ukraine.
