Road repair works of Chisinau suburbs set the city coffers back 30 mln lei

The cost of the repair works of the roads of the localities of Chisinau municipality is of about 30 million lei, Tudor Garbu, the counselor of the interim mayor announced about this. According to Garbu, the roads are one of the most serious problems of the suburbs, formulated as result of the visits made by the interim mayor, Vasile Ursu, in the suburbs of the capital. According to him, even if the mayors of the villages require the repairing of all the local roads, because of high expenditures, the municipality is decided to repair only those of municipal importance, as well as the streets of the center of the localities. Now, all the problems of the localities are being systematized and examined, and till the end of this week the schedule of the repair works is to be brought to completion, including the report on expenses. According to Garbu, beside the roads and bridges issues, the suburbs have a bad condition regarding the illumination, gas supply network, medical points, kindergartens and schools. The resources necessary for performing these works will be financed from the budget of Chisinau municipality.
