Road markings designed for public transport appeared on Pushkin St in Chisinau. The dedicated lane and the place where the public units of transport stop were delimited. The Chisinau City Hall said the measure is aimed at ensuring the circulation of public transport in central Chisinau according to the timetable, IPN reports.
According to deputy mayor Victor Chironda, the intersecting of the lane for turning right, entering and leaving courtyards is allowed, but it is recommended not traveling along the lane. The stopping or parking on the dedicated lane is banned by the No Stopping sign.
The stopping for leaving people or picking them up should be as close to the pedestrian crossings as possible so as to prevent jaywalking.
Parking on Pushkin St is allowed only in specially set up places, on sidewalks. As of today, patrol inspectors will impose fines for violating the parking regime on this street.
The municipal authorities plan to draw similar markings on Bănulescu-Bodoni St.
