The Moldovan carriers can perform transport operations in the EU member states when exporting Moldovan goods without road transport authorization certificates. This became possible after the signing of the Agreement on the Liberalization of Road Transport with the European Union, IPN reports.

“We did so as to change things. We took steps for Moldova to successfully integrate into the European transport system. We achieved a result on which a whole team worked, from civil servants to high-ranking decision makers. Today I say thank you to all of them!” said Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

The carriers can further sign contracts for the supply of goods, especially agricultural products, by using alternative routes on the territory of the European Union.

“For the citizens, we will this way ensure the proper functioning of supply chains and the food security that is affected by the situation in Ukraine. This corridor of solidarity will bring to an end all the problems experienced during these months of conflict and the old times when the carriers had to divide the permits. Together with this Agreement, this unfavorable story ends and will not repeat, while we advance determinedly towards Europe,” stated the official.
