The road freight transport in bilateral and transit regime is to be exempted from permits. The road transport operators of the Republic of Moldova will be offered continuous mobility, new opportunities and freer access to the European economic market, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development announced at the official round of talks on the signing of an agreement on the liberalization of road freight transport between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union on the liberalization of road freight transport, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry says that the provisions of the agreement will define all the types of transport operations, the period of validity of the agreement, the activity of the joint commission for monitoring the implementation of the agreement, etc. The agreement was drafted by a team of the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission.
At the moment, the bilateral relations in road transport with most of the EU member states are regulated by intergovernmental bilateral agreements that stipulate different conditions for performing road transport operations.
