Rigorous requirements for aspirants for annual culture awards

The competition for the annual culture awards conferred for creative products and artistic innovations, with a significant impact on the professional arts and on the national and international heritage, has been opened. These are works that gained the appreciation of society and contributed to the promotion of national culture internationally, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Culture said the awards are provided in 14 categories:

- Valeriu Cupcea Award in the field of theatrical art;
- Constantin Stere Award in the field of literature;
- Gavriil Muzicescu Award in the field of music;
- Vladimir Curbet Award in the field of dance;
- Ștefan Ciobanu Award in the field of conservation of cultural heritage and museography;
- Ion Madan Award in the field of library and bibliography;
- Isidor Burdin Award in the field of intangible heritage;
- Gheorghe Cincilei Award for the promotion of the cultural image in the media;
- Mihai Grecu Award in the field of fine arts;
- Emil Loteanu Award in the field of cinematography;
- Veniamin Apostol Award in the field of artistic education;
- George Enescu Award in the field of musical composition;
- Valentina Rusu-Ciobanu Award for debut in visual arts;
- Award for the best manager of local cultural institution.

Prizes in the field of culture are awarded either to a single laureate or to a winning team, if the decisive involvement of a number of persons in the development of a work or activity is ascertained.

Former laureates of the Ministry of Culture’s award and works awarded in previous editions are not admitted to the competition.

Aspirants can submit files by December 15 to the documents management division of the Ministry of Culture, located at 21 N. Iorga St, first floor, with an accompanying letter (application addressed to the Minister).

The files must contain the curriculum vitae (CV), the list of publications (ISBN must be indicated for books published in Moldova), creative works (monographs, brochures, leaflets), literary works published and registered with the National Book Chamber of the Republic of Moldova, as well as information about the personal contribution (in the case of groups of aspirants). It is also necessary to describe the social and cultural impact of the activity.
