Revenues to State Budget rise by 30 pct

Over January-October 2007, the State Budget collected basic revenues of 9.8 billion, which is by 30.4 percent more than in the similar period last year. Basic revenues to the State Budget beat official forecasts by 3.2 percent. Compared with the corresponding period last year, the growth constituted 2.3 billion lei. Even though the tax rates on production, capital, real estate, and personal income weren’t raised, revenues collected by tax inspectorates rose by 27.7 percent, while those collected by the Customs Service by 23.3 percent. The rate at which the State Budget target for this year was fulfilled stood at 84.8 percent, compared with 79.9 percent in ten months last year. The average daily revenues to the State Budget rose from 35.5 million lei in 2007 to 46.9 million lei this year (+32 pct). The target for October was fulfilled at 103.4 percent.
